That\u2019s the case with developers at Walsh, the 7,200-acre west Fort Worth community debuting later this spring. Republic Property Group, in partnership with Sundance Square, is opening a pop-up storefront on Monday, April 10, in downtown Fort Worth to temporarily serve as the neighborhood\u2019s hub for presales and community events.<\/p>\n
The store, located at the corner of Houston Street and Fourth Street next to the Sunglass Hut, will allow visitors to check out Walsh\u2019s initial development phase. The pop up site will allow Republic to host prospective homebuyers, offering augmented reality tours of the neighborhood, showcasing the community\u2019s unique resident amenities, and holding realtor meetings are among the first planned uses of the Walsh pop-up in Sundance Square.<\/p>\n
\u201cBringing the Walsh neighborhood experience to downtown Fort Worth gives us the chance to honor the history and making of this development, and showcase a day in the life at Walsh to future residents,\u201d said Jake Wagner, co-CEO at Dallas-based Republic Property Group. \u201c<\/p>\n
Model home construction is underway in Walsh\u2019s initial development phase, located 12 minutes west of downtown Fort Worth where Interstate 20 and I-30 merge. Homes will be available during presales from builders David Weekley Homes, Drees Homes, Highland Homes, Toll Brothers and Village Homes, as well as to-be-announced custom and estate homebuilders. The initial 587 homesites at Walsh will range from 3,800-square-foot lots to just shy of an acre, with prices from the upper $200,000s.<\/p>\n
Visitors to the pop up center with Fort Worth roots may recognize some of the architectural details used in the homes at Walsh. Homes at Walsh follow architectural styles inspired by the heritage observed in Fort Worth\u2019s great neighborhoods, said Co-CEO Tony Ruggeri. Wagner and Ruggeri studied Fort Worth neighborhoods and found inspiration for architectural design guidelines at Walsh and traveled to more than 35 communities across the country to best understand today\u2019s homebuyers.<\/p>\n
Each home in the initial development phase will be no more than a five-minute walk from a community park. Walsh homes are zoned for the Aledo Independent School District, with a new AISD elementary school opening in the Walsh neighborhood for the 2017-2018 school year.<\/p>\n
The first phase of Walsh will total 1,700 acres. Walsh will debut with a neighborhood village featuring a market and gas station, a 10,000-square-foot gym and Junior Olympic pool, family pools and a recreational lagoon, a coworking building and a Makerspace, which provides hobbyists and entrepreneurs access to the tools and technology not found at home or in traditional workshops.
